Not only will Startups receive invaluable feedback, but they will also be considered for an investment of up to one million dollars from HubSpot Ventures.

The Prize
*Winners must be eligible for the AWS Activate program to collect the prize, and all AWS Activate credits are in USD and subject to the AWS Promotional Credit Terms & Conditions.
Howard Wright is the VP and Global Head of AWS Startups, a global organization dedicated to helping startups to create, build, and grow on the world’s leading cloud platform.
Prior to joining AWS, Howard was CEO and President of C360 Technologies, a computer vision SaaS company that provides ultra-high-quality video solutions to broadcasters and sports leagues. Beforethat, he led digital for sports and entertainment at Intel Capital, and spent 14-years at Qualcomm Inc., culminating in his role as Senior Vice President.
Howard holds a bachelor’s degree in Qualitative Economics from Stanford University, where he also played collegiate basketball. He continued his athletic career by becoming a professional basketball player in the NBA, playing with the Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, and Atlanta Hawks. Howard was inducted into the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.
Howard is currently active on several national charitable boards, including serving as Chairman of the Pro Kids Golf Academy and Learning Center.
Tessa Flippin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Capitalize VC, a pre-seed and seed stage VC fund investing in diverse founders. Tessa began her career in venture capital as an Investor at TechNexus and a Venture Partner at Genius Guild. Prior to venture capital, Tessa founded La Plataforma, a fintech payments platform, sending international money transfers throughout Latin America. Tessa attended Stanford University for undergrad and received her MBA from Columbia Business School. Tessa actively serves on the boards of BLCK VC Midwest and Chicago:Blend working to bring diversity to the tech ecosystem.
HubSpot for Startups (HSFS) launched in 2016, and is on a mission to help millions of startups grow better. The program helps startups expand their businesses with a simple, user-friendly, and cost-effective suite of tools, unlocking steep discounting in year 1 of joining, and phasing down as a startup continues to grow. HubSpot's own growth journey as a startup inspired the creation of HSFS.
